Peace Officer Training Certificate
The Peace Officer Training Certificate prepares students for careers in law enforcement through North Dakota's state-approved police academy. As the only college in North Dakota authorized to deliver a POST police academy, »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓÆµ provides hands-on, academy-style training that combines classroom instruction, physical fitness, and practical law enforcement skills.
During this one-semester program, students develop the knowledge and abilities needed to meet North Dakota's requirements for peace officer employment. Training covers criminal law, patrol procedures, investigations, defensive tactics, emergency response, firearms, report writing, and other essential skills used by today's law enforcement professionals.
Graduates earn a Peace Officer Training Certificate and are prepared to pursue employment with law enforcement agencies throughout North Dakota.
